David Mellard

Director

David qualified in 1994 and has spent the last twenty-eight years working across private business, higher education and charity sectors. David formed Bedrock HR in 2014.

David believes that every employer should create a great place to work and in turn should benefit from engaged and skilled employees, regardless of industry sector or size of organisation.

David tries to advise clients in the same way that he sails, having a light touch on the tiller, placing trust and confidence in the team and navigating through any choppy waters with a smile and taking the odd flier! As well as serving as a director of several organisations.

Senior HR Business Partner

Grace qualified in 2010 and has spent over 12 years working in-house as a HR Business Partner and most recently as a HR Consultant within the private sector. Working predominantly within Construction, Engineering and Property, Grace enjoys the variety of clients and industries that working with a consultancy can offer. Grace has a degree in Business, a Masters in Human Resources and a level 5 CIPD HR management qualification.

Grace enjoys supporting businesses in solving organisational and people challenges, enhancing the employee experience, implementing user friendly HR products and services and adding business value.

HR Expert Catherine Willgoss

Catherine Willgoss

HR Business Partner
Catherine qualified in 2004 and has spent over 15 years working with in-house HR departments across the private sector.

Working predominately within the retail sector, she most recently worked as a Business Partner before joining the Bedrock team. Catherine enjoys working for a variety of clients across industries and being able to utilize her experience in advising and supporting businesses in a variety of HR matters.

Claire Weller

HR Business Partner

Claire enjoyed a highly successful career within investment banking, involved in high level project management: before taking a break whilst her daughters were young. She then worked within the charity sector in Finance and HR, moving into HR and Compliance management for an education trust. Claire has joined Bedrock HR as HR Service Manager with specific responsibility for business development, client HR advice and ensuring that we provide an excellent service for all clients. Claire is a Trustee and Ofsted Representative for a Pre School.

Katie Bloch

HR Business Partner
Katie qualified in 2012 and has spent over 12 years working in-house as a HR Business Partner and most recently as a HR Consultant within the private sector. Working predominantly within the legal and professional services sectors, as well as retail, construction and technology. Katie has most recently enjoyed working with a variety of businesses during their early or rapid growth phases, utilizing her experience to advise and support in a variety of HR matters, including the implementation of HR practices.

Katie has a degree in Business Studies, a MSc in Human Resources Management and is an Associate Member of the CIPD.

Katie enjoys supporting business in solving organisational, people and cultural challenges, adopting a friendly approach to aid the implementation of HR practices to help maximise business and employee performance.
